When It Helps

The situations leaders bring.

Each engagement starts from what has changed in the role or around it.

A new or bigger role

A promotion, an external hire or an expanded scope, where the habits that built the career start to limit it. Executive transition coaching →

Restructuring and shifting priorities

Navigating restructuring, shifting priorities and competing stakeholder expectations.

Difficult feedback

Addressing feedback that challenges how a leader sees their own effectiveness.

The CEO, the board and senior stakeholders

Influencing CEOs, boards and senior stakeholders when the stakes are high.

Leading across cultures

A leader who has relocated, or who leads from a headquarters culture that is not their own.

A leadership team

Systemic team coaching, alignment intensives and executive team retreats for the whole team. Leadership teams →

What the Work Aims At

What the coaching is designed to build.

The development plan names the specific shifts for each leader. These come up most often. Results depend on the leader, the sponsor and the context.

Performance through others

Build leadership capacity so decisions and execution no longer depend on one person.

Influence without the final say

Build commitment across functions, even without control of the resources or reporting lines.

Clearer decisions

Establish decision rights, priorities and accountability so teams can move without repeated escalation.

Trust with accountability

Create conditions where disagreement surfaces earlier, commitments are explicit, and difficult conversations happen before problems escalate.

How It Works

A defined engagement, typically 4 to 12 months.

Company-sponsored engagements include an initial alignment meeting, a 360 assessment, a written development plan with 2 to 4 priorities, and structured progress conversations with the leader’s manager.

Self-funded engagements are scoped with each leader in the first conversation, including whether an assessment or a written plan is part of the work. In both, sessions are typically weekly at the start, then every 2 weeks.
